Guest Room
Ground floor cottage accommodation
The guest accommodation at Furners Farm is in a separate cottage with its own entrance on the ground floor (the first floor of the cottage is let separately).
The spacious bedroom, which is comfortable, quiet and homely, may be made up as a king-sized double room or twin bedded room as required (6’ bed or twin 3’ beds). It is comfortably furnished with traditional and antique furnishings, with a separate en suite bathroom.
Regrettably, there is inadequate space for a child’s bed or cot.
The bedroom opens directly onto the beautiful garden, with views beyond across the valley. The small flock of rare breed Soay sheep might be glimpsed in the paddock below the house.
Breakfast is served in the main house, either in the garden room, or on the adjoining terrace in the summer, with stunning views down the valley. The Furners Farm breakfasts are a particular specialty, using home-produced eggs and homemade jams and stewed fruits whenever possible. Let us know in advance if you would need any special dietary requirements.
There are several charming country inns nearby which serve lunchtime and evening meals. The Woolpack at Slad is within walking distance across the fields, and the Butchers Arms at Sheepscombe and the Bear at Bisley are a very short drive away.
Further afield there is a wide choice of pubs and restaurants offering good food, much of it sourced locally in the Cotswolds. In particular, Painswick has a number of eateries.
Access to Furners Farm is along a narrow single track road, and a narrow private lane. Drive slowly, and admire the views. See the MAP page for details.
